Jackson Restaurant Week Featuring Burgers

We are trying burgers all over the state and have had a few great ones in Jackson! From November 11th-17th Jackson is celebrating restaurant week with a focus on burgers. While we haven't been to all of the participating restaurants, it seems like a good list and we know there are some on here that need to be added to our list!

So how restaurant week in Jackson is going to work is that participating restaurants are building special $15 menus that feature a unique burger and a side. A few examples listed on the site include somewhere we went last time we were in Jackson and that is Schlenkers. They actually have 3 options as part of restaurant week. One is 2 single burgers, a half fry and a pop. The second is a double olive burger, a half fry and a pop. The third is a double bacon cheeseburger, a half fry and a pop. Another on the list that we go back to time after time is RJ's Metropolitan Ice Cream Co. Don't let the name fool you, this place has awesome burgers. The first time we went into RJ's our plan was to get ice cream. While in line somebody asked us if we were getting a burger. When we said no, he told us we had to try one. So we got a burger and ice cream! Their menu for restaurant week has any burger as a combo with a drink + a scoop of ice cream. Here are a few videos featuring RJ's.

We have been to other places on the list for restaurant week but not always for a burger. We have had a good time at Ogma Brewing and Grand River Brewery. We have also been told many times now to go to Baby Bear Burger and Doll N' Burgers. They are on our list!

To go along with restaurant week, we feel that it pairs well with all of the murals in Jackson that have been painted over the past few years as part of Bright Walls. Downtown Jackson has been transformed into a massive art gallery.
