Our First Time at Snow Snake Ski and Golf

Throughout our lives we have been to most ski areas and resorts throughout Michigan at some point. This winter we added one that had been missing to our list of places we have been snowboarding. That place is Snow Snake Ski and Golf, which is located about 25 miles north of Mt. Pleasant in Harrison, Michigan.

We had a great day snowboarding at Snow Snake. The conditions were perfect with a slight snowfall and temperatures in the teens. It was a week day so the lifts started at 3:00 PM. We got there and geared up in the lodge next to the fire and headed out to the the lift to spend a few hours completing run after run having a great time. 

Here are some aspects of Snow Snake that stood out to us. First off, this seems like a great spot for learning. They have ski and snowboard rentals along with lessons. There are a variety of options for lessons including family lessons. A bunny hill features a magic carpet which is great for those just tarting out. There are also tubing runs that are open Friday-Sunday.

The lodge has food options with the Avalanche Bar and Grill and the Winter Snack Bar. To go along with the food there is gear available including a large selection of Kinco Mittens that are great for the tow ropes located throughout Snow Snake.
