Paddling Grand Haven Michigan

Where is your favorite place to paddle? We are often asked this question and the answer to that is, it is complicated. We enjoy so many different places and we are going to be sharing some of those spots with you! Up first, Grand Haven.

Starting in the spring, we are checking the surf cams daily. We are either looking for flat calm or some crashing waves to go play in. Either way, we are always grabbing our gear and heading to Lake Michigan. One thing we enjoy is a calm day for a party paddle. It is always fun to get a group together to paddle around the lighthouse and spend some time hanging out on the beach.

Some of the most fun we have in Grand Haven is when we can paddle surf. The conditions for paddle surfing are a little more rare so when the timing is right, we are there! Either way, spending the day on the water and ending the day catching a sunset from our board is something you should add to your summer plans!

When we are done on the water, we often head to downtown Grand Haven to grab some food and hit up a couple of our favorite spots. The trip to Grand Haven is not complete without a stop at Odd Side Ales.
