Soo Ultimate Paddle Day!

We are often asked where are good places to paddleboard or kayak in Michigan. One spot that has a special meaning to us is the St. Mary's River in Sault Ste. Marie. We grew up in The Soo and have spent a lot of time on the water in that area and on August 17, 2019 the 3rd Annual Sault Ultimate Paddle Day is taking place. The event happens on Rotary Island and the races take place throughout the river and on Voyager Island. 

The event will feature paddleboard, kayak and canoe races if you feel like taking part in some racing. If you are not a racer, you can enjoy guided kayak tours, canoe battleship, a river float or hanging out at the Shorts Brewing beer tent. There will also be a variety of vendors to check out.
